One of the most basic needs for any ATV or UTV rider’s trail
kit is a tow rope. Whether you are the rescuer or the one being rescued then
sooner or later you are going to need a tow rope, and let’s face it who doesn’t
want to be a hero. One of the problems faced by any of us, however, is where to
put the tow rope. If you don’t have a compartment on your ATV from the factory,
then you must carry the tow rope in a rack bag of some sort. The point is
finding a place to put the tow rope can be a pain.

It seems that a battery on a machine is something we never
give any thought too until it doesn’t work when we need it. Nothing is more
irritating than to head out into the garage looking forward to a great day of
riding (which you have been looking forward to since Sunday when you got back
from the last ride), turn the key, and find silence. All of us have been there,
and most of us know how replacement batteries are not an inexpensive item.

I am a music enthusiast, and I would imagine many of you
are. No matter where you are around the World, people love music. People are
moved by music just as we are moved by ATVs, and we at ATVESCAPE have been
looking for a way to combine the two.
Some of you will ask why in the world anyone would want to listen to an IPod
while riding an ATV, and experiencing the trail or track?

There can be no doubt one of the single most popular ATV accessories are rack bags and hard cases. For those of us who like to take trips to our favorite riding areas we are always needing space to carry more stuff than our ATVs can hold. We have tow ropes, beverages, tools, beverages, food, cameras, maps, beverages, clothing, and who knows would other items fighting for a place to ride along on our adventures (did we mention beverages?).

When heading off into unfamiliar territory there can be nothing better
than having a “local” who is very familiar with the area to guide you.
We all love the adventure of the “unknown,” but having great directions
as to how to get to the “unknown” and back alive is very helpful. Of
all the off-road guides we have seen, nothing is as good as the
FunTreks ATV Guides by Charles Wells. These guides are presently
available for areas of Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and California.

For many ATV riders, being able to stretch their legs and cover a lot
of ground is imperative. It may be just a long days' ride or an
overnight camping excursion, but being able to carry extra fuel along
is a must. Though all of us have done the classic
"gas-can-bungee-cord-to-the-front-rack thing" (Don't deny it; you
have.), that is not the best way to carry fuel. It clutters your rack,
and those cans just don't ride well. Problem solved: RotopaX--flat
fuel packs which can be mounted or placed on your ATV or UTV to carry
extra fuel and other items.

Many times there are lessons a rider learns only through experience. Making sure to place your phone, keys, or other sensitive items in a waterproof container is one of those lessons. After ruining an expensive cell phone and an even more expensive camera, I learned the importance of “waterproof”. I began by using a Ziploc bag in a Ziploc plastic container, but as I rode more, I needed a better solution: enter the OtterBox.
